New Kits (July 15, 2010)
- Modeling Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration - Create simple snap bead models to illustrate the reactants and products of photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Review cards are provided to help students distinguish between the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
- Yeast Populations - Learn how environmental conditions affect the growth and survival of a population of organisms. Test samples from a simulated yeast population to determine the population size, the pH of the environment, and the amount of sugar present over time. Graph the results and compare them with results from another researcher.
Science Take-Out at Homeschool Conference (June 4-5, 2010)
Science Take-Out was proud to be an exhibitor at the LEAH Upstate Homeschool Conference in Rochester, NY. Hundreds of homeschool families visited our booth to learn how Science Take-Out kits can be used to enrich their students' science education experiences.
Science Take-Out at NSTA (March 18-21, 2010)
Science Take-Out was proud to be a workshop presenter and exhibitor at the National Science Teachers Association conference in Philadelphia, PA. We presented three workshops for teachers to experience our kits. The first 400 visitors to our booth received a free "mini-kit".
Science Take-Out shines at STANYS 2009 (November 1-3, 2009)
Science Take-Out was proud to be an exhibitor at the 2009 Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) Annual Conference held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester, New York. The Science Take-Out team also led three hands-on workshops for teachers to experience a selection of our kits. Teachers loved our kits (of course!) as you can see from these comments that we received:

You can now order economical refills for most of our Science Take-Out kits! Our 10 Kit Refill Packs contain materials to replace the consumable supplies for 10 kits. Easy to follow instructions are included for reusing and refilling your Science Take-Out kits.
Unassembled Kits are now available (September 1, 2009)
Save some money by assembling your own kits! Each pack of unassembled kits contains all of the materials needed along with easy to follow instructions for assembling 10 kits.
Science Take-Out wins a Small Business Innovation Research Grant (July 1, 2009)
Science Take-Out was awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Center for Research Resources. This grant will provide funding for Science Take-Out to work with New York State teachers to develop and field test new hands-on kits that are student, teacher, and curriculum "friendly". We will be working with focus groups of high school biology teachers during the Summer and Fall and then will be field testing new kits during the 2009-2010 school year.

Science Take-Out kits are being shipped across the nation
Science Take-Out kits are being used by classroom teachers and homeschool families in 36 states, Puerto Rico, Canada and Egypt (as of June 2010). Our kits are being used in a wide variety of educational settings with students from middle school through junior college.
